Blog from Quality Department – May 2011

In today’s rough economic times, a Contract Manufacturer must be able to deliver more than a quality product. They must be cost competitive, offer high levels of Customer Service and On-Time Delivery. And each CM will try to find areas within that to set themselves apart from the competition. One of the key differentiators of Outsource Manufacturing compared to other CM’s is our commitment to our Quality Systems.

Everyone at Outsource Manufacturing – Made In San Diego, from the CEO to the assembler on the floor, is committed to effectively implementing our Quality Systems, both ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003. We will soon be adding the requirements of AS9100 to our Quality System, as we work toward AS9100 registration in June of 2011.

In April 2011, Outsource Manufacturing successfully completed its ISO 13485 registration audit with no non-conformances. We also, just completed our annual review by the California State Food and Drug Branch. We are proud to announce there were no violations identified during the audit. This is an accomplishment which does not come easily or without full company support of our Quality System and processes. These accomplishments are testimonials to a well disciplined organization which is truly committed to its Quality systems.

Quality does not “just happen” at Outsource; it is part of the planning. We are mindful that each opportunity may be the most important one we have.

We have posted our April Warranty RMA detail on our site. Please visit to see April and prior month reports.
